A Day Seen from a Café Window
Renoir borrowed a room at the very top of a café to paint the view in a single day, his brother Edmond later recalled. Edmond helped by delaying passers-by so Renoir could capture them—and also painted his brother into the scene twice, with a cane and a straw hat.

The story behind the motif

Canvas with a beautiful painting of Pont Neuf, Paris. The painting was created in 1872 by Auguste Renoir - a French painter and illustrator.

Auguste Renoir is counted among the foremost Impressionists. He is known for his motifs of young women, children, flowers and landscapes.

Pont Neuf (French for "New Bridge") is, despite its name, the oldest surviving bridge over the River Seine in Paris. It began to be built in 1578 by order of King Henrik III, when the old bridge was overloaded. The new bridge was completed in 1607.

Delivery time is normally around 5–7 business days within the Nordic countries, as we handcraft our canvas artworks in our factory in Sweden, and the canvas fabric also needs to dry before we stretch it over a wooden frame and ship it to you.

If you order from Norway, your order will be delivered with Fedex; to Sweden and the rest of the world with DHL. Your package is normally delivered to your nearest pickup point!
