The story behind the motif

Poster with a photo of Stureplan from what is probably the early 1940s. The picture shows, among other things, the characteristic "Mushroom" that was built in 1937. In the picture, trams and trams meet a teeming public life.

The name Sture in Stureplan is after the noble Sture family, including Sten Sture the elder, and the place has long been the center of Stockholm's entertainment with shopping, restaurants, cinemas, bars and later nightclubs.
