The story behind the motif

A beautiful canvas painted by Johan David Schwartz, a Swedish artist who was particularly active in portrait painting. The picture is a portrait of King Karl XII who we see posing in a fancy uniform.

Karl XII was king of Sweden from 1697 until his death. He was also Duke of Pfalz-Zweibrücken in Germany between the years 1697 and 1718.

Karl XII's reign is one of the most discussed and controversial of the Swedish kings. He is generally regarded as a skilled military leader and a warlike king, whose life has given rise to numerous writings and cultural works, including a popular biography written by the philosopher Voltaire .

If you order from Norway, your order will be delivered with Fedex; to Sweden and the rest of the world with DHL. Your package is normally delivered to your nearest pickup point!
