The story behind the motif

View over northwestern Kungsholmen towards the current Hornsberg beach and Ulvsunda Lake. In the foreground you can see a number of allotments and in the background Stora Bryggeriet or Hornsbergs Bryggeri as it was also called. The brewery was established at the end of the 19th century to compete with, among others, the Munich brewery. Behind Stora Bryggeriet stood a number of bakeries but also Stockholm's Enskilda Bank.
