Painted with Rags
Peder Balke built his late landscapes with rags and solvents rather than brushes. The method came from his years as a decorative painter and allowed him to use the white ground as an active part of the image. The Nationalmuseum dates the painting to the 1860s.

Delivery time is normally around 5–7 business days within the Nordic countries, as we handcraft our canvas artworks in our factory in Sweden, and the canvas fabric also needs to dry before we stretch it over a wooden frame and ship it to you.

If you order from Norway, your order will be delivered with Fedex; to Sweden and the rest of the world with DHL. Your package is normally delivered to your nearest pickup point!
