When the moose began to sing
At Jönköping County Museum’s 2018 Bauer exhibition, the painting acquired an unexpected afterlife: among the original works in the magical forest setting, moose could be heard singing. A century after John Bauer’s death, his visual world had become something one could listen to as well.
