The story behind the motif

Poster with a majestic portrait of a peacock in a garden in Paris during the 19th century. In the picture we see, among other things, the text Le Paon - French for Peacock. The peacock was imported to France and became a status symbol and decoration in the gardens and parks of the upper class. Its stately and colorful plumage inspired fashion trends and decor during the era.
