Poster with a magical illustration from Elsa Beskow's saga Olle's ski trip which was published for the first time in 1907.
The motif represents the transition from winter to spring. We see the old woman Tö, who personifies thawing weather and the arrival of spring, standing on the ground and looking up at Våren, who is a beautiful woman in a carriage drawn by butterflies. Spring spreads flowers and brings with it a landscape that begins to green up after the cold of winter.
The end of winter and the arrival of spring is a central part of the story. The picture illustrates the meeting between winter and spring, where the old woman Tö now gives way to Spring and the warmth and vitality she brings with her.
