The Plan Was Five Times Larger
The original plans for the Nordic Museum contained an entire castle with four wings, two courtyards and four corner towers. Finances and a changed plot boundary during the Stockholm Exhibition of 1897 put an end to the vision – only the wing with the great hall was built.
