Katarina lift seen from Slussen sometime between 1890-1910 . The Katarina lift is not only a public lift but also Stockholm's most famous lift. The lift and its footbridge between Stadsgården and Mosebacke were built by engineer Knut Lindmark to make it easier for people to get around. The lift was inaugurated in 1883. It cost 5 öre to go up with the lift and 3 öre to go down.
