The story behind the motif
Poster with a vintage fruit illustration from the book "Nouveau Larousse Illustré" from the year 1898.
The book was one of the most comprehensive French encyclopedias at the time of its publication, and was written by the French author Pierre Larousse together with Augé and Claude. It covered a wide range of subjects, including nature, culture, science and art.
In the picture we see the title Fruits at the top, and under it illustrations of, among other things, apricot, orange, lemon, fig, watermelon, pear, papaya, eggplant, banana, coconut, avocado, guava, mango, lychee, tomato and dates on a branch.Frame not included.
Please note that the images are cropped slightly differently depending on the size you choose. Read more about image and image quality here: FAQ.
