Before the fish counter
When Olga Rinman took this photograph around 1905, Feskekörka was still primarily an auction hall for professional buyers, not an ordinary market for the people of Gothenburg. Only in the 1910s did the hall begin to develop into a consumer market – the photograph therefore belongs to the period before the popular institution known to later generations.
