Poster with a beautiful photograph taken by Dan Samuelson in Bohuslän during the 1920s. The picture is a portrait of a fisherman out on the water, where he holds up a lifebuoy as a frame around his face.
A couple of hundred photographs and negatives taken by Dan Samuleson (1893-1980) were collected for the Maritime History Museum in 1968-1969. The photographs are from the 1910s and 1920s and depict harbours, boats and lighthouses, among other things.
The photographs are mainly from western Sweden, including Smögen, and from Östergötland. Later, photographs from the 1950s and 1960s depicting Kinda canal, Göta canal, Oslo harbor and fishing harbor in Trondheim were also added.
