The story behind the motif
A fine summer day in Slottsskogen, Gothenburg in 1914.
Slottskogen is actually called Slottskogsparken and is one of Gothenburg's largest, oldest and most popular parks. The name comes from the fact that it already belonged to Älvsborg Castle in the Middle Ages. Until the end of the 19th century, it was more of an inaccessible forest than a park.
In the picture we see two women walking with a pram of period appearance and construction, with only one pair of wheels.
