The story behind the motif

Poster with a motif of cross-country skiers at the national border. Cross-country skiing in Riksgränsen in 1956 offered the skiers a challenging and rewarding experience. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and snow-covered forests, this remote northern area provided a perfect setting for cross-country skiing.
