The Nordic Women’s Rally marked Sylvia Österberg’s rally debut: she drove a Volvo PV 444 to fifth place. Two years later she was a Volvo works driver, and in 1963 she became both Nordic and European rally champion—an unusually rapid rise from newcomer to leading name.

The story behind the motif

Poster with a picture of a rally picture of the model Saab 93 at the Nordic Ladies' Rally in 1960. The start of the competition was from the Foresta Hotell on Lidingö in Stockholm.

The winner of the 1960 edition was the legendary rally driver Sylvia Österberg.
