The story behind the motif

An old picture of Medborgarplatsen on Södermalm at the turn of the century. In the picture we see Götgatan 51 at the corner of Folkungagatan 3.

Södermalm grew rapidly during industrialization at the end of the 19th century and became the residential area of ​​the working class.
