The story behind the motif
Poster with a map of Halland and its surroundings in 1807. On the map we see everything from Hönö, Gothenburg, Härryda and Bollebygd in the north to and Höganäs, Ängelholm and Fagerhult in the south. Marked in color in the middle we see Halland, or Halmstad as the whole area was called in the early 19th century. At the top right of the map we see the text: "Map of Halmstad Principality or Halland". A fantastic picture over a large part of Sweden's west coast.
Illustrator: Carl af Forsell | Created: 1807.
Frame not included.
