When eggs became a matter of state
When the anniversary exhibition was held in 1908, poultry farming was more than a hobby. A few years earlier, the association had warned that Sweden’s production did not even cover the country’s needs, while Denmark exported eggs and poultry products worth nearly 20 million kronor a year. The state responded with support for the organisation’s work.
