The story behind the motif

Poster featuring a 1942 image of the iconic Sir Winston Churchill. The picture was taken at the English Channel and Churchill is seen in the picture with a cigar in his mouth and a Tommy gun in his hand.

Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965) was British Prime Minister during the Second World War in the years 1940-1945 and the period 1951-1955. He is known for his many quotes as well as for how with relentless force and fighting spirit he led Britain through the war.
