The story behind the motif

Poster with an illustration showing the flags of the British Royal Scots Regiment, specifically for the 3rd Battalion.

Formed in 1633, The Royal Scots is one of the oldest regiments in the British Army. The banners bear the traditional symbols and colors representing this regiment, and the illustration is a depiction of the flags carried by the regiment during its military campaigns.

The flag on the left is the British Union Jack, while the flag on the right is the regiment's own colours, often containing details symbolizing the unit's achievements and glory in battle.
