The story behind the motif

Ingemar Johansson was a Swedish heavyweight boxer during the 1950s and 1960s. His most memorable performance occurred on June 26, 1959 when he defeated American champion Floyd Patterson. As the first Swede to capture the world heavyweight title, Johansson was widely praised for his feat.

Ingemar Johansson is still remembered as one of Sweden's most prominent boxers and an important figure in the country's sporting history. He also became known for his nickname "Ingo" and for having contributed to putting Swedish boxing on the world map during that time.
