The equestrian festival had barely ended before it reached the cinema. On 24 April 1905, the Olympia cinema showed moving images from 14–16 April, including a driving competition at Heden, a corso in Slottsskogen and show jumping at Idrottsplatsen. The poster thus also became a preview advertisement for a very early local film newsreel.

The story behind the motif

Poster with an illustrated poster about the event Ryttarfesten i Gothenburg 1905 . Ryttarfesten was a city festival with various jumping competitions, team shows and other horse events around Gothenburg.

On the poster we see that the event took place in Gothenburg April 14-16. The illustration also touches on additional information about the event, including various activities such as Prize Riding in the Town Hall on the 15th from 10-3.
