The story behind the motif
View of Stockholm from the old telephone tower (1887-1953). The telephone tower carried telephone lines to all of Stockholm's telephone subscribers and was about 45 m high. In the picture we see the castle and directly to the left the Royal Opera House. In the background, in the haze, lies Södermalm.
