The story behind the motif
Poster with a vintage photograph of a snowmobile from the past. The caterpillar was called a Swedish unconventional snowmobile that has now reached cult status. It consisted of a long caterpillar track with a seat where the driver sat and steered with the help of his weight and with his skis.
The caterpillar was manufactured in Östersund between 1960 and the end of the 1980s. When it was launched, it cost SEK 3,000. About 4,500 examples were built in total.
The picture was taken in Sweden in 1965.
