A Full Tank Against the Limit
Husqvarna designed the Guldpilen to remain below the decisive weight limit even with a full tank. It was an unusually precise adaptation to the regulations of the time. The technical classification did not last long, however: the authorities deemed the model too powerful, and after 1959 the short-lived 200cc motorcycle disappeared from production.

The story behind the motif

Poster with a picture of a 1950s Husqvarna motorcycle model 283, usually referred to as the Guldpilen which was a stronger variant of the Silverpilen. The cylinder volume was 200 cc with an output of 10.5 hp. The Golden Arrow was produced between the years 1957-1959 in just over 1,200 copies. The motorcycle had an operating weight of less than 75 kg, therefore it was classified as a light motorcycle and could be ridden by 16-year-olds. Top speed over 100 km/h. In 1959, the purchase price for Guldpilen was SEK 2,240.
