Three tenths in Kristianstad
Sweden’s 1955 Grand Prix at the Råbelöv circuit was decided by a margin that almost disappears in an instant: Juan Manuel Fangio won after 32 laps, just three-tenths of a second ahead of his teammate Stirling Moss. The race also began according to the Le Mans principle, with the drivers running across the track to their cars.

The story behind the motif

Poster with a photograph from the Grand Prix in Kristianstad in 1955. The Swedish Grand Prix for sports cars was run on the Råbelöfsbanan for three years starting in 1955.

Several of the big stables and the best drivers of the time were there together with around 80,000 spectators, which is a Swedish audience record. The successful car premiere meant that the following year the competition had to replace Le Mans as one of the five sub-competitions in the World Sportscar Championship.
